Spinner the Squirrel is the mascot of the Wichita Wingnuts, a new baseball team.
I’m not aware of other sports teams with squirrel mascots. Are you?

Oh yes indeed! Squirrels are noble athletic mascots at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia. All the athletic teams on that campus are called “THE FIGHTING SQUIRRELS.” I was so excited when I learned of this that I visited their web site and ordered a tee shirt and hat for myself.
Bradford College in Yorkshire, in Britain, also has a Fighting Squirrels team!
