Sadly, at least one British chef has offered up a recipe for squirrel.
And more than 400 squirrels were shredded at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands.

The second incident - the shredding - seemed disgustingly familiar and sure enough, when I clicked on the link, I saw that it was the same 1999 story that I recall from 9 years ago. Amazing how something so horrifying stays with you even after reading it many years later. I was fearful that perhaps this sort of incident had happened again, and could not imagine how it might have, after the scandal that ensued. Bless the souls of those little ones who were destroyed so mercilessly.
